It's raining Jhumkas !! :) Paper Quilled Jhumkas

Paper Quilling is a form of filigree art that was introduced in the early 18th century by the French and Italian nuns. Quilling, according to Wikipedia, is an art form that involves the use of paper strips that are rolled, shaped and glued together to form creative and decorative designs.

Though it was used to decorate jewelry boxes in the early days, now it has been modernized by various artists from all over the world and rather than decorating jewelry boxes, jewelry is made out of paper now.

Thanks to a friend and another fellow blogger, I was introduced to this art and soon, it became my passion, obsession and stress buster :)
Like many contemporary quilling artists, I too have created a lot of designs using quilling. Most of them being home decor, photo frames, cellphone charms, key chains, wall hangings, storage boxes, candle holders, jewelry and what not !!

Below are a collection of traditional yet trendy, light weight Jhumkas in different colors.
These beauties are the subtle showstoppers !

I also own a facebook page called Bea's Crafty Creations.

This is the link for the page -  www.facebook.com/beascraftycreations . It contains all my handicrafts , right from the ones I made when I was a novice till now :)

Do check it out. Have a great day !
